Nutsedge Seed

My neighbor had nutsedge last year; did the seed blow into my lawn? If so, how will I get rid of it?

The nutsedge usually comes from the tubers not the seed. The tubers can remain dormant in the soil for 60-70 years. Nutsedge is more prominent in the summer because the turf is no longer shading it out. It is best to treat it before June 21 (the longest day of the year), using SedgeHammer, but you may have to make multiple treatments.
